By drawing on advanced polymers and cutting edge production technology, WSmax - our machine film variant of Wrapsmart - is able to offer all the performance of a conventional stretchwrap but from a far thinner film profile. WSmax users can achieve the same pallet protection, stability and security of thicker films but from considerably less film by weight. This in turn creates less packaging waste.
Further green benefits of WSmax stem from the fact that fewer film deliveries are required. As it is thinner, more film can be wound onto a standard core. Each reel of WSmax actually offers an impressive 2800m of film and a typical pallet of 60 reels equates to a staggering 100 miles worth. In addition, WSmax is 100% recyclable.
Thanks to the impressively thin gauge of WSmax, users can use less film weight to wrap a load thus significantly reducing their “wrap per pallet” consumption without any compromise on performance.
Moreover, the greater length of film per reel allows more pallets to be wrapped with fewer stoppages for reel changes. This maximises machine and operator output. Fewer film deliveries also reduce administrative demands such as the need to order film and to process it at goods inward.
WSmax is also considerably lighter than conventional machine films. Each reel is just half the weight of a standard machine roll. This lighter weight contributes to increased ease of transportation and again, a reduction in associated transport emissions. It also improves portability and ease of handling on the warehouse or factory floor.
In addition, WSmax has reinforced edges to provide extra strength and tear resistance making the reels more robust and less susceptible to damage.
